We bought Misty as she was advertised as a perfect "been there, done that" beginners horse.  Below is the actual ad text, and we did see plenty of trail riding video to back this up, HOWEVER, after getting Misty home, I personally would consider her to be more of an intermediate rider type horse as she did not want to ride out alone, but rides wonderfully with my husband when we go together out for a ride with both horses. 

She is registered with the Racking Horse Breeders Association of America.  She was also reg'd with the TWHBEA but I never received those papers, although I did confirm with the registry that she was registered with them, but I cannot sell her with them, since I never received them when I bought her.

She is shown here being ridden by a "green rider" in a big pasture in just a regular halter (first pic) and lead ropes, and then again in her bitless bridle (next 2 pics).   We are now using a simple "sidepull bridle" when we go out for a ride.

Notes:	Misty is a beautiful mare, with a very sweet disposition. Her extensive riding experience and training make her very safe and virtually bombproof. Surefooted, confident, experienced on trails, reenactments, overnight camping, parades, drill. Safely ridden by children and beginner friends/visitors. Rides alone or in large groups. Takes her smooth gaits and transitions off leg pressure, or voice cue. She does not pace, trot, or get rough or bouncy. Slow canter. Great halt from any gait. Stands quiet for mount/dismount from either side. 100% sound, recently vet checked, no vices, coggins, shots, worming UTD. Never bucked or reared. Perfect ground manners, easy to bridle, tack up, great w/her feet, hops right in the trailer, hauls quietly, ties anywhere. Been stalled/pastured, never fusses w/other horses, comes right to you when she sees you or hears you call her name. One family owned and she is registered. PLEASE NOTE:  Most of the following text is from the ad that I purchased Romey from, however, I cannot verify all of this as we have not done any of this with her, as we found her to be herd sour and would not go out alone and misbehaved when separated from the other horses.  Therefore, I feel she would do best with someone more advanced than beginners, for safety's sake.  Romey arrived VERY thin, with ribs showing, not sure if from the trip here, or prior to her making the trip.  The main (large) photo above, was taken on the day of her arrival, and others shortly thereafter (within 2 weeks of her arrival).  I have also found out that Romey has been broke to drive in the past, but doubt she has had any experience with that since she left her breeders farm.   More photos of Romey can be seen on her individual webpage.

"Romey" is a gentle, sweet, loving mare that is beautiful on the inside and out. She is a gorgeous black pinto mare with 4 matching white stockings. She has a long thick mane and a super thick tail. She is stout, proportioned and put together very well. On top of her pretty outward appearance she has a heart of gold. She has kind dark eyes and is very loving. She has a gentle, easy going personality. She is a super nice horse with excellent ground and saddle manners.

Romey will do anything you ask on the ground, such as bath, clip, lift her feet easily, halter easily, lead quietly, load and unload trailer quietly, stand great in the cross ties. She stands perfectly still to mount and dismount, walks on a loose rein or no rein, gaits on a loose rein, has a dynamite lope, goes out alone, crosses water, crosses traffic stops, has a good whoa and backs up too.  She has been exposed to deer, turkeys, ATVs, creeks and water, dogs, farm animals, bikes, motorcycles, joggers, traffic, trucks, plastic bags, children at play, cows, and in fact, there isn't much this sweet horse won't do for you!

She is an excellent confidence building horse. You can ride her bareback in a halter, kneel on her back, monkey around in the saddle, stand on her. She is EXTREMELY easy to ride. Children and adult riders alike have ridden Romey and they all had a huge grin when the ride was over. You can learn to ride on this gentle girl (she will teach you). Super fun with a lope that is like a carousel horse to ride. She definitely has a lot to offer!  She is a kind hearted, gentle horse that is suitable for any level rider to enjoy, from beginner riders and kids on up!  Romey is a great trail partner and wonderful companion.
