We do our very best to try to be with our mares at every foaling. In order to help us maintain our goal, we monitor our mares using both the BreederAlert™ halter transmitter foaling system, in conjunction with CCD cameras set up in the barn over their stalls. We do this to help ensure that we are there to assist in any complications that may occur, and just to be sure all is progressing as it should be. We feel that each and every one of the foals born here are very important, and even one loss is too much, so we do our best to try to avoid it from happening.

*NEW FOR 2009* We are willing to offer for the first time ever, our 2009 foals for sale, "in utero". Pricing on foals will be listed beside the mare's name. To take advantage of this special pricing, please read the TERMS that are below the list of expectant foals.
TERMS of "IN UTERO" Purchases: In order to purchase our foals "in utero", buyer agrees to the following terms and conditions:
A non-refundable deposit in the full amount of the "colt" price given for that horse will be required at the time of reservation to ensure you get that foal, and BEFORE the birth of the foal. If the resulting foal is a COLT, no further payment is required on the actual purchase price for that foal, HOWEVER, if the resulting foal is a FILLY the difference in price between the colt price and the filly price listed for that mare, will remain owing. That amount MUST BE PAID FOR IN FULL by the time the filly reaches 3 months of age.
If for some reason the foal dies before it reaches a week old, or if (God forbid) a dwarf foal should result, the contract would immediately become null and void and all money paid for that foal would immediately be refunded in full.
Foals will normally be weaned at 4 months of age, but if timing for transportation is critical, I would consider weaning slightly earlier.
The price quoted is for the price of the foal at 1 week of age, after it is known the foal is strong and healthy.
Seller will not charge board or feed costs for the foal(s) up to and including 5 months of age. After that time, there will be a $5.00 per day feed and board charge.
Seller will not charge for deworming or farrier up until the foal is weaned. The exception to this would be if by chance I would have to hire a farrier if my health prevents me from being able to do the hoof trims myself, then the buyer would be wholly responsible for the farrier fees.
Any and all other fees will be that of the new owner(s) (buyer), from the time the foal reaches one week of age and is found to be a strong, healthy foal. These fees to be paid by the buyer may include (but are not limited to) any and all vet fees, transportation, and any other sale related fees.
Seller will not be held responsible for any death or injury to said foal(s) unless through seller's gross negligence. We love all of our horses and do our best to help ensure their safety, health and well-being.
Foal(s) will carry the "Last Chance" prefix on the registration papers.
Foal (s) will be registered (or application(s) will be in the office "pending" registration) before leaving Last Chance Miniatures.
